Zuma – A Sophisticated Taste of Japanese Cuisine

Located in the heart of Downtown Miami, Zuma could be your best option to enjoy sophisticated Japanese cuisines. This restaurant is actually a part of a restaurant chain founded by chef Rainer Becker, a famous chef who was inspired by the Izakaya Japanese dining. Izakaya is an informal Japanese dining style in which dishes are brought to the table continually throughout the meal.

Chef Becker opened the first Zuma restaurant in London in 2002, followed by Hong Kong in 2007, then Istanbul in 2008, Dubai in 2009 and finally in Miami in 2010.

Zuma is providing various delicious Japanese dishes in a fun and vibrant atmosphere. However, even though it applies an informal dining style, there is still a certain dressing code you need to follow. If you want to dine in Zuma, you must at least wear a smart casual wear, so no shorts or beachwear is allowed.

This restaurant provides a comprehensive and alluring menu. The Japanese dishes you can find here are authentic but not traditional. While maintaining these dishes’ originality, chef Becker improves their taste with bold and intense flavours by using high quality ingredients. Anything from sushi, sashimi, robata grill, to Zuma’s signature dishes like ‘lobster no oven yaki’ r ‘kinoko no kama meshi’, they all taste really special.

In order to create its authentic atmosphere, all Zuma restaurants are designed by a design house based in Japan. The sense of sophistication is very obvious as you step inside the restaurant while you still can feel a strong Japanese taste in the interior.
